EXERCISE 3

Equal Rights for Women

Russian women started to gain equality earlier than women in the United States , because in the former Soviet Union, men and women had access to equal education and job opportunities , and that reflected the Soviet philosophy. Since the 1937 Soviet constitution declared that women and men had equal rights and responsibilities, and women joined the workforce; also, when millions of Russian men were away in the military during World War II, so as soon as Russian women filled their places at work. Although Soviet women worked full time at their jobs, but they also had the primary responsibility for taking care of the family. After they finished their work, and they had to shop, cook the evening meal, and perhaps wash, iron or mend the family’s clothes. U.S women started to demonstrate that they could do the work of men during World War II.

Nonverbal Communication

Nonverbal communication, or body language, is used everywhere in the world, because it is a very powerful means of communication; also it communicates much more than spoken words.
One example of nonverbal communication is what occurs between parents and child. When parents smile at their child, they communicate love, acceptance, and reassurance. Then the child feels comfortable and safe because the smile signifies approval. The child is happy and well adjusted.
Another example of nonverbal communication is the image a person shows in public. When a woman is walking alone on an unfamiliar and possibly dangerous streets,  she wants to appear confident, so  She walks quickly. She may be tired, because she walks with her shoulders straight and her head held high and her eyes are focused straight ahead. Someone is looking at her as soon as she returns the glance without hesitation. In contrast, a nervous woman appears afraid,  and she walks slowly with her shoulders and eyes down.
Indeed, body language can express more than spoken language; for example merely by raising and eyebrow, clenching a jaw, or softening the eyes, a person can express disapproval, anger, or love, so it is a very strong method of communication.

EXERSICE 2

This week, I have read the Rumpelstilskin story.  The story is interesting; also it consists many moral value. Rumpelstilkin doesn’t have meaning ni dictionary; however in the story Rumpelstilskin is name of a dwarf. The Rumpelstilskin story tells us about  a man called Miller. He was a kind man; in contrast he had a bad habit. He liked bragging. His bad habit made her daughter asked by the king to spin straw into gold; otherwise the king would kill her.  The Miller’s daughter couldn’t do it. She was confused and crying; as a result the dwarf appeared and helped her. The king gave the tasks to spin straw into gold for three times. In the third time, the Miller’s daughter had to spin that too in the course of this night, but if she succeed, she should  be the king’s wife. The dwarf helped the daughter, yet the dwarf asked if the daughter came queen to give the dwarf her first child, and she  promised. On day. The queen had a first child. The dwarf met the queen, and he asked the queen’s child. The queen couldn’t give her cild; consequently the queen had to guess the dwarf’s name. the end of the story, the queen succed to find the name of dwarf was Rumpelstilskin, so the dwarf didn’t ask the queen’s child. The queen lived happily ever after with her husband , the king. The story learns us many moral value; for example  we don’t low bragging and greedy.
